delirivm
Here is a WIP(no roof texture, little planting, and no people) render of a house im working on for a client. As you can see I tried adding planting in a image software (the Gimp), but Im not really good at it, as you can see (Tutorial anyone??). C&C's are welcome!! Tim Saunders
yeah, the plants do look a bit funky. it looks like your opacity map was not completely cut out. not sure what the gimp is? what software are you using? the lighting looks like you are setting up a night time scene, but you have a daytime back ground. maybe if you want a day time scene, ease off on the interior lights a bit. if you want the night look, maybe get a new background that shows a night setting. The Gimp is like FREE Photoshop. I use Revit with Accurender for modeling and rendering. Gimp is for touch-up work, like those beautiful trees and bushes But I think I have mastered Gimp now, I now know what an alpha channel is Also, I will do as you said, turn down the interior lights, and maybe up the exterior lights a bit. Will post the result soon.
delirivm
BTW: How do I place trees behind the house, post rendering the model?
karl zacharias
Use Tga Files When You Render And Drop In Your Backrounds (sky, trees, Etc) In Ps
