garethace
Tablet PCs: A New Paradigm for CAD http://cadenceweb.com/2003/0403/cadlab0403.html Just wondering what the laptop haters think about this idea. I think the posters here did make a good case for desktop over laptop recently on a thread. Just wondering how they would respond to this article. Greg Hess
I'd still rather have a little shuttle XPC .
garethace
Best of both worlds - desktop and tablet. Almost standard desktop kit, really good availability of micro atx boards and choice of any monitor to go with the little box. I am aware now for a couple of years the ambitions of many CAD managers to fit more workstations into small architectural offices. The laptop was adopted in many places as a desktop replacement, but then you are still buying a docking station, keyboard, mouse, monitor... so whats the point. And the laptop is never moved from the desk.
