Socrates77
Hello to all, I am in need of some assistance. I have been given a floor plan in AutoCAD 2006 it has both 2D and 3D objects in it. I am unable to look at the actual Cad file b/c I am using LDD 2000i, but I am able to import the cad file into max my potential client wants me to take the cad file and make a 3D render of it. From what I can tell in max is that the actual design of the 4 walls are in 2D and the only thing with any dimension is the roof. Is there any third part software that will convert a 2D Cad file to a 3D object. I thank you for your time and information.
only3d
sorry mate but no magic soft' of that sort, az yet. even if there was 1- creating a descent 3d rendering consists of much more then just 'converting' 2 a 3d model. -lights, materials, cameras r just small part of what u need 2 b able 2 work with. what i suggest is u find the help of a 3rd party person that can help u with your work p.s. u sure there isnt nore in that file than what u see? cuz sometimes,u know, theres more than what meets the eye! good luck
