RyanSpaulding
Hey guys, I was curious as to what you use for nice large prints. The firm I work for has always used foamcore. I personally find foamcore horrid for color and vibrance of colors. What have you used that didn't cost a crazy amount but was still high quality. C.Vestal
I hate foamcore too.. we use CORRUGATED PLASTIC and get it from charrrette.com holds up better to abuse, almost no cupping even after years. If you still use spray glue, this holds up much better. we used to get it in 48x96" sheets locally. Too much labor in the cutting. We get pre cut sheets now. only minus: can not use on mostly white prints, the ribs slighty show. hope this helps,
mwhite
Gator board is what our printer uses for high quality jobs where the board will be around for a while or where it will be kept by the client. Holds up better than foam core and will not warp. Add a matte laminate to the print and it produces a very professional presentation board. Brian Cassil
We also use gatorboard for images that will be on display for a long period of time. It costs us about $60 for a 48"x96" sheet.
bully712
Same here for Gatorboard. I usually print out the image on semi glossy paper inhouse, and then get it mounted elsewhere. They look pretty sharpe on the black gatorboards
John Dollus
Black Gatorboard looks nice. If you need a display for a lobby or other high traffic area, try translite mounted on a lightbox - VERY vibrant colors.
