bully712
Hello all, It's been a while since I posted an image. I'm currently working on this for a fellow employee. This is my first house, so I was pretty excited when I was asked to create it. Color, and landscape (non existent) is not going to really change. The client wanted the house to blend in with the environment. I can tweak the color on the building to make it a little better looking. The house is made out of smooth, and splitface block. The dark area on the second floor is a screened terrace. The accent tiles are suppose to be glossy, but I was having a hard time achieving that effect because they are so small. Any thought on how I can improve this image? a lot of time was spent tweaking in Photoshop. Thank you VIZ 2005 photoshop
Msamir
I like it alot the lighting is very good and also the design (was it yours?) the only thing i dont like is the non existence of the landscape, it fits with the environment but it looks like its deserted !anyway really good work
bully712
Ravenwood: Thanks for your comments. I agree with the landscaping, but this is the Clients retirement home, and he wants low maintenance, so that's what they get. The design is that of an Architect that I work with. Well I see that no one else has any suggestions, so that can be either good or bad. I have a little more time to work on it again, so I'll be touching a few things up, so I can get it to the client by weeks end.

bully712
This is a SMART MAN to have NO vegetation NEAR THE HOUSE especially This far out of Town where This is NO FIRE departments You're right on. The house is going to be built in the Kingman area. The road back to the site is pretty rough, and it's about a 30min ride. This is also why the house is made out of smooth, and split-face block, and a metal roof. Being that the house is in the middle of nowhere, there's going to be a very large pantry. I agree with the roof being too dark, but that was the request of the Architect.
kulbir bal
a nice 3d work. architect requires dark roof is okay but in view its looks like that roof is been excluded from light.
bully712
its looks like that roof is been excluded from light. maybe I could add some highlights to give the roof some life.
Brian Cassil
I love it! I agree that adding some highlights to the roof would help some. I only have one other very, very small crit and that is on the far right of the image there is a noticeable seam between the reddish color dirt and the background dirt. Brian Cassil
I just noticed a couple other things you could possible improve. It's a little dark in the soffits. Also, the glass looks pretty good except in the upper left portion it's a little lifeless. Maybe adding just a little bit of interior (like a ceiling fan or something) and lighting up the interior a tad would help.

The upper left portion is a "Screened" Terrace. I'll probably add light to that area, and I will also add a ceiling fan. Also I'm going to fix the seam in the ground. Thanks for the suggestions
bully712
Well here is an update. The Architect is coming back from Vacation tomorrow, so he's probably going to want to rap this up by Friday. You will have to overlay the two images to see what I changed. The updates: 1. Lightened up the soffits. It's kind of hard to tell, but they are. 2. Illuminated the Screened Terrace. Might be a little to bright. There should be a descent amount of light coming in there. 3. Reflection in the tall window to the left. 4. Fixed the seam in the dirt to the right. 5. Roughed the split-face edges a little, but being far away, it's hard to tell. I think that's about it. I did work on the roof a little, but I don't think the changes made to much of a difference.
