jking
I have recently started working with MR in XSI. Very steep learning curve! Also very fascinating. I have more to do on this particular scene, but wanted to post it now as this is a good place to make adjustments. Any initial responses would help me tremendously. Thank you. psv
hi there, ... your scene doesn`t have a verry important ingredient in it...a sun to cast some shadows, right now there is a sky casting some soft shadows... not enoug yet IMHO. try a yellowish tinded spot for the sun.. hope it helped sorin
scooter
looking good so far ! I looks also that you're having fun with it! Good ! It's a great tool. As Psv mentionned, a high spot light will do a better job in the realism. The light you've place has horizontal shadows in the room and lighten the ceiling a bit too much. I suggest you rise your light and direct it to illuminate the room as the sun will do it. Share with us the result !
Fran
I disagree about gratuitously adding direct sunlight. The purpose of visualization is to show clients what their space will look like. It looks to me as though a purpose of the design (deep covered patio) is to limit the exposure to direct sunlight.
scooter
All right ! I see what you mean Fran. I didn't use the right way to say it . Sorry ! I ment to have a light hitting the ground at the window base, creating, with the Global Illumination and the Final Gather, a indirect lighting environment. This way, the depht of the room will be very much increased
