Im not sure if its the DOF but the bitmap on the wall to the left could be a little sharper with a bit of bump maybe. I think your floor is a bit uniform in comparison to the 'dirtyness' of the rest of the image. Dont know what the artifacts are caused by.

The metal chair looks a bit out of place. Id maybe stick with all wooden ones, perhaps replace the grey seats with a timber or a wicker? Its hard to tell what the grey material is. Nice image though, could be taken a long way. I like the composition. Makes you wonder what the chairs are looking towards.

I like this a lot. Has lots of potential and could be great.

I agree that the metal folding chair does not fit.

I would lighten it up a touch to get more detail in the shadows, right now I feel they are too dark.

I have seen traingular glitches before when you have two surfaces over top of one another and the render can't decide which is in frot of the other.

Post more, great start.

nice work michel. i do agree with others. and i would like to suggest one or more too. when u have this kind of shots, if the scene has only substantial details viewable in the camera, its good to add little chamfer to the edges of the walls (if u r trying to portray a realistic scene), since its very hard to find any such hard or sharp edges in realword. and the floor could be replaced with something little light colored but with dirt and dust textured...and when u add the dirt/ dust texture effect, its good to maintain them on both the parts of the intersecting surface. (wall and the floor). and its good to maintain a good resolution textures proportionate to the view (final appearance). i had come across artists faking the GI effect on texturing and render with minimal time.

i took the liberty to add these suggestions coz you said its your own R&D work.

good try and keep posting more..

thanks

shan
