Hair Salon

Recommended Posts

Thought I would post this for c&c.

Small hair salon in BC.

Wall colours and ceiling are not my choice, taken from paint chips that client had and looks acurate on site.

Trying to represent a bubble wall with the green tint between the reception area and salon, they are planning on using multicoloured lights so will constantly change colour. I now have a higher res image that I will br trying for that.

Chair beside fireplace has since been changed to a Lightscape block which looks better. Fireplace will be changed to one that has some depth, this is simply an image so does not look as real as I would like.

Owner phoned and said ehe has some new light fixtures coming and will send pics once they come in so I can make a model of them.

Reception desk is also not correct and again once I have pics will change it.

In first pic it looks like I have light leaks so am trying to find out why. There should be no line across opening either not sure what I did :-)

Autocad2005, Lightscape stand-alone 3.2

If the client has to utilize the people in the space, try to note where the recessed cans are in relation to the people located on the floor. What I've done in the past when incorporating people/cars/etc is to make 2 seperate renderings, the first no people, second people with a plain white floor. Make sure that you save the alpha channel in the people rendering.

Once you have both images, post edit them together in say photoshop for example. There's alot of hidden power in the dodge and burn tools, the problem is trying not to get too carried away with them.

Just for curiosity sake, in the second picture....how can that woman be in two places at once?

Actually I only have a limited number of people that were dressed more like business women so yes there are two of her in the model. What you are seeing is a reflection in a mirror.

I will try the two rendering and see how it works. I thought that I would have time this weekend but I am going out of town for a couple weeks so will see what I get done in the evenings.

thanks

Larry
