frank1331
Using Max 7 and vray. This was rendering fine, then all of a sudden it renders like this. The walls and the storefront doors do not render correctly. I have tried removiing the material from them, and starting over, but get the same results reguardless of what material is on them. I also tried playing with the lights. But too much light bleaches out the other items. The model was created in ADT. How do some of the parts render ok, but the walls and doors turned to the darkside on me?
ImageCube
check the normal and the smooth group of the walls.
Tim Nelson
It looks like maybe you have cloned the walls & doors by accident. When you have coplaner faces, you will get stuff like that.
Tomas
Try to use Standard Mat instead of Vray ... just a thought. Tomas.
kippu
force 2 sided?
frank1331
Thanks everyone. I forced it to be 2 sided, and that cleared it up. Not sure what happened, or why I need to force it, but it works now. I'll try to figure it out some other time.
