timmahh949
i downloaded a few new textures that i need for a basic house that im modeling. I am extremely new at 3d and need some guidance on how to use the new textrues... they do not show up in my materials library, but i set them in the same folder as the existing texsture files. i even converted them from jpeg to tga. i am guessing that i may need to make a new mli file, or menu file, or maybe even update it somehow. any help would be great, thanks. bigroo
Supported image files are TGA, BMP, TIFF, JPEG, and PCX so your JPEG and TGA should be sufficient. If you want to use one of your image files for a material then this should work for you. Open material dialogue box, specify standard, wood etc and click 'new'. Name your material. The name must be unique and have no more than 16 characters. Click find file and browse for it. Preview to check how it looks then attach to your solid. The help file 'materials (for rendering), creating' will assist further. Hopefully I have understood your request!
