JamesTaylor
Attached is a file containing the current 3d model i'm working on (90% complete) unfortunately i've come to open it this morning and it appears to be corrupt. The error i get is: !savers.cpp@437: eGeneralModelingFailure Although i have autosave's turned on there is no autosave file after 8.52am on friday morning and the .bak version is also corrupt.....typical on a monday morning! can anyone save my monday and either give me suggestions as how to repair this file or if anyone would be prepared to have a look at it i'll email them as its just too large to upload here? in the meantime i'm going to have to start from scratch..... JamesTaylor
Martin, thanks i managed to find it in a little drop down menu in the open dialog box. so far i seem to be having a little joy, just working my way thro the layers. Thanks
JamesTaylor
Thanks everyone for the suggestions and Arnold for having a look at the file, I've just been using Martin's suggestions of the Partial load function and have managed to recover all but one layer of the file....so its games on again!! thanks again Martin, i'd not come across the partial function before, but i imagine it can get you out of a few holes...or should i say it has got me out of a hole!! Arnold, i'd guess you've got better things to be doing than trying to correct my corrupt file, i think i've recovered enough now to take the pain out of having to remodel it all, so thanks again thanks James
