archkre
How do I do to add a "custom tool" to "My tool Catalogue" in ADT 2005? I have a Shower Stall.dwg that I want to add to "My tool Catalogue", but how? I read P. Aubin's book on ADT 2005, but couldn't find the procedure! Thanks a lot! bigroo
Drag drawings, blocks, and hatches from DesignCenter to the tool palette. Drawings that are added to a tool palette are inserted as blocks when dragged into the drawing.
archkre
Yes, I wish it was so simple, but unfortunately, it is not...
bigroo
It always works for me. I save my block as a dwg file into the design centre folder and then open design centre (ctrl+2), open the tool pallettes window (ctrl+3) and drag the block across. Which part of this process doesn't work when you try to effect it? I'm currently using 2006, maybe that makes a difference.
bigroo
I've just tried it in Autocad 2005 and it works equally well for me.
archkre
I do all that and get wonderful tools, save the blocks where they are supposed to be...,but If I close adt and re-open it later(same day) they are still there, but the next day are all gone! Why?
Kerry Thompson
My tool Catalog" is part of the Content Browser. Items from tool palettes can be copied (right-click over the item) into various sections of the content browser and classified into tool palettes which can can be added to session toolpalettes as required. Get the item from Design Centre into an ADT session tool palette and then copy this into the "Content Browser". Cheers Kerry
