Fids
Hi guys, Im an ADT Viz Render novice. I have followed the tutorials and rendered an interior image. What I would like to do is insert images of people into the render, and make it look realistic in terms of body parts hidden behind furniture and other objects. I have the Viz software and Photoshop available to me. Can anyone tell me how to do this. Thanks in advance.
Brolloks
Mark In Viz you can use alpha mapped polygons. The size of the polygon is determined by the size/proportion of your map. You need 2 maps for this. The one is the colour image without background of the person. This goes in your diffuse slot. The 2nd map is an opacity map. In essence it is a black and white or greyscale image derived from your first map. The other option is to use the rpc library that comes with viz2005/2006. http://www.archvision.com There are other ways too like compositing in Photoshop/Corel Photopaint etc.
STRAT
or another option is just to comp them in directly in photoshop. just need to make sure the scale is correct and the shadowing looks convincing. where in Wales are you Mark?
