jtiscareno
I am trying to find out if the following quote was made by Mexican Architect Luis Barragan (quote in spanish then translated): "No hagan lo que Yo hice, vean lo que Yo vi" "Do not do what I have done, observe what I have seen" If inded he did say these, can someone point me in the direction of the context of such a quote. Thanks to all!
DennisHolland
Something like; don't get inspired by my output (artwork), get inspired by my input (inspiration). It sounds better when i say it in Dutch On the other hand, you did a free English translation of a solid Spanish phrase so this all might be a little distorted. Who cares? It all comes down on doing what your imagination tells you to do... Dennis
jtiscareno
Thanks Dennis, but I am trying to find out if indeed Barragan uttered these words and if so what was the context...
IC
He said it alright. If I remember correctly he was getting out of a taxi and it was his idea of a tip. After that, he said "ooh, Christ I've left the chip pan on," or something like that. I think.
