chow choppe
Hello everyone, I am working on a walkthrough presentation and have rendererd four to five sequences as tga files.......Now i want to make a presentation that will include a combination of still pictures some animated text and the above mentioned animations... I have just started to learn Adobe premiere .i am now quite familiar with the whole concept of joining clips and adding transitions. my questions are: 1.) do i first need to make separate avi's of the tga's i have saved and then make a new adobe premiere file and then import these avi's into the presentation ....or the tga's can just be put as such in the presentation .Does that make any difference. 2.) How do i save the final presentation....Should i save it as Avi or mov.Which codec to use.i tried my hand at it.I used File---Export---movie... and then used quicktime movie and used the animation codec. the quality was set to 60 percent .Is that the way to save the final movie of the presentation. ..This results in a blurry sort of movie but still the file size is 60mb's.There is no audio in this and animation is 5 seconds. Why such a big size.Where am i going wrong. I tried Mpeg4codec but still the file size is 20 mb's. On the other hand if i use quick time pro and import the image sequence and save it as a mov file with the animation codec the quality is accepatable and the file size is just 911kb. I am confused what steps to follow for my final presentation. I need to put the tga sequences ... some still pictures.... and some text ,,,,,and then finally make an exe file out of it...maybe an avi or a quictime movie P.S ( does pressing enter on keyboard i.e Render work Area has anything to do with the final movie output.or is it just a preview thing). Please help Thanks Haneet
Ernest Burden III
a few quick answers: 1.) do i first need to make separate avi's of the tga's i have saved No. Import them, selecting the first in a sequence and check the 'sequenced stills' (something like that) box. This will load them as a 'movie' object which can be dropped onto the timeline and worked with. 2.) How do i save the final presentation....Should i save it as Avi or mov.Which codec to use. There is no 'right' answer here. Search this site for 'codec' and read up on various opinions. If you use Quicktime for output then Sorenson3 is good. I like MPEG1 Avi is good, but while I like the Indeo5 codec, it usually won't play on a Mac. etcetera... P.S ( does pressing enter on keyboard i.e Render work Area has anything to do with the final movie output.or is it just a preview thing). Render work area is a preview thing.
