Ged Trias
Is there a way to convert an ADT drawing to regular 2d autocad outside of ADT? I have a consultant drawing in ADT and no access to ADT to convert. Exploding and exporting have proxy object problems. I don't want to lose the doors. Your help is appreciated. Videha
download the right objectenabler from the Autodesk website this should solve your proplem if there is none for your version Autocad. Ask your consuldant to explode the ADT file in plan view 2 times and save it as dwg 2000 or 2004 file hope it helps seeya
Fernando Lino
they just need to export it to Autocad 2000/2002/2004 There is a tool in ADT "explode AECelements" or Hidden line projection under document all these ways are inside of ADT....talk with your consultant...export it to Autocad don't take more than 1 min. Kerry Thompson
I also create a plan using the section tool (a plan is a section on its side) and then explode it and copy the results to a new file. While the "explode AECelements" does the job, there are still ADT residues in the file. Cheers Kerry
Buttman
U can do into hidden sketches and explode it but it'll end up very high Mb file because of the thousands lines.
