mhinks
Hi Guys, Im trying to get a 4/5 second loop of water that loops! I realise that its kind of a stupid question, and totally not real, but I need it! Ok, so Ive got a plane, set a load of segs, and stuck a noise on it. So thats fine, but doesnt loop of course. So then I found this script that is a loopable noise controller http://www.boomerlabs.com/freeware.php Very cool tool, but I cant work out how I can use this to make the noise loop. Is this not a job for noise etc, and more for a displacment texture? Hopefully someone has had this problem b4 and can help out. I'm really struggling, and Im sure it must be quite easy. Thanks guys
Arnold Sher
tow ways of doing it... Animate the texture i.e. move the texture map over a time period...not perfect solution.. Otherwise dosch sells looping water http://www.doschdesign.com . Hope that helps..
raterry
I'd animate the noise over the 4 or 5 secs and in the track view give it an "out of range" type = loop and it will automatically loop perfectly. real simple and effective way to do it. -=Rob
