HAIDORY
hi people, I wonder how can we draw surfaces to represent a terrain, or streets around buildings. Iam thinking of different objects, so we can deal with them seperately. out of some polylines in Cad programs. I am thinking of 3D viz, and ADT2005. suggestions ? thanks. Tommy L
What i do with flat terrain/streetscapes is either extrude closed polylines in viz or loft polylines. Lofting has the advantage of being very easy to map for kerbs and roads, but is tricky at junctions. Hilly areas can be done with lofted sections or pulling vertices with soft selection. A handy plugin for viz is the 'Glue tool' plugin. Google search will find it. It might be easier to post a specific problem when you come up against it. Good luck, Tom.
