MR: black dot issue

Hi

I've had them a couple of times and they seem to be lighting based - typically a spotlight with mental ray area light enabled. I've tried deleting lights and re creating them, which some 75% of the time solves the problem, but other times I've rendered something at a lower res and had problems, with no problems at higher res (and vice versa, which is really annoying after hours of rendering!).

Never got to the bottom of it totally, but I've started using the render buffer shader (see cgnetworks under Maya) to do seperate shadow and occlusion passes at the same time and comping them in Photoshop, which seems to reduce the likelyhood of this happening.
