Msamir
I think its dangerous to leave the window on the right open when there is no balcony right ? Try changing too the material of the two cylinders attaching the light fixture to the ceiling. Except for those two things i think its very nice and nice cat too
DennisHolland
Looking good Dick. Warm atmosphere down there and nice lighting setup. Is that an hdri map used for the sky? looks like one and does his job well. Do me a favor and post that cocospalm (only 3D), please? Sindala
Ravenwoods: that on the right is a loggia with floor to ceiling glass doors, i think i can make it more visible though, good point. i'll make the wires of the lamp darker aswell. Dennis: there's no hdri, i just used a very orange parallel spot with areashadows, a sky object and a pointlight in the middle. diffusedepth set to 3. jmpreston
You may want to add sconce lighting on the walls for a more realistic design. You have only task lighting now. The sconces, or torcheries, will give a nice 40% reflection of the white ceiling. Two on each wall will do. Yeah, the chairs are a bit too black. Try color on the walls for a real adventure. I have no idea why CG people love white walls :-) A couple of colors are appropriate for a nice aesthetic. - jim
thud
Hey there, nice render. Mind if I throw a couple .00 at it? First glimpse felt warm and inviting. Then I realized my eye fell right out the bottom of the scene. There was nothing to trap my eye in the content. As I tried to find a suggestion on how to keep me in your room, personally, here's what I started thinking. (just my .02) -room feels pushed out of the way, like the just moved something from the balcony out the front door (plant smushed against painting, couches up against glass, everything around the edges -if i lived in that room, why wouldn't I take advantage of either the awesome view of the park, or the imposing painting on the wall? Right now the couches are set up to watch the TV, ignoring the real glories -cat's love sunbeams, hell even my dogs do. That pus needs to be stretched out in major nap mode -chairs do feel kind of "nerfy" -would the flat screen or the floor lamp bounce the incoming light? I think it's close to feeling like a living quarter...I'd flip the couch against the park window to the other side of that area maybe? Overall nice job. Just thought i'd give a brain dump. cheers! Sindala
thanks for all the great comments, i'm waiting for the comments from the client, when i've gathered these i'll post the new results. As for the white walls, i think potential buyers might be put off by colored walls, thinking it's part of the architecture of the building. And i'll be going trough all pictures on ratemykitten.com to get the best puss ever! thanks all!
