Smooth Blurred Reflections

Hi all,

 

For what I see, the MR-black dot itssue in my scene has to do with reflections.

I.e. i don't have black dot's without reflections in my scene. So probably I construct reflections in a way that MR does not like.

 

Can anyone describe how they make their materials with reflections in MR?

Hi there,

I dunno how U 'construct' the material with reflections, but I know MR doesn't support raytrace maps. Raytrace materials yes, but maps no.

But I guess the best thing is to use MR material, U can create whatever glass effect U need with it.

Hi all,

 

I've solved my black dot issue: bad geometry!! (import from sketchup)

 

On blurry reflections: well, it works now... very nice and smooth.

I use the MR metal for smooth blurry reflections and a Raytrace map for crisp hard reflections. SURE it works in MR!

 

Anyway, I think the metal shader is pretty slow. Any way to speed up?
