Crazy Homeless Guy
http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/showthread.php?t=10514 http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/showthread.php?t=10515 but anyway, sometimes it just takes someone to start a discussion. i use formZ. in the last year, there have been 4 threads on that discussion board. there are a handful of people here who use formZ, but for the most part we know the tools that we need in the program, so not many questions come up. when they do, people answer. but, as discussed somewhere on this board, at sometime, cinema seems to be the fastest growing app in the market right now. it will never catch max, or probably viz or autocad for that matter. i bet if you compare the number of arch vizers using cinema currently, with how many were using it a year or two ago, you would be pleasently surprised. not a lot, but when you don't have a lot, it doesn't take a lot to double the number os users. Frosty
CHG's comments about FormZ also transfer to C4D. Many of the users on this board are long time users. There are occasional comments/questions from these people but most of the activity has been assisting the influx of new users in the last 1.5yrs. Should we maybe start a tips and techniques series on this board? I'm sure I can think up a few tricks to pass on, and I'm certain Strat, CHG and others can think up a bunch. edub
hey everybody! I didn't mean that the cgarchitect forum, as a whole, was not poppin'... just the C4D section. I'm glad there was a response It's just that I have this section bookmarked, so I always come here first, and then on to the WIP sections, etc. There's usually nothing much happening in the C4D section, so I was just wondering where most users hang out and discuss tip/ tricks, etc. I guess I ask questions over at C4D cafe, as there are alot of beginner users over there, and it's easy to get general knowledge about the program. Just wondering which sections of the forum most people tend to visit. I love checking out the finished work and WIP, but I also wish there was more of a dialogue amongst C4D users, with focus on Arch Viz... but I get the impression that it's not rreally happening... that's all. What are some other people's impressions?

There are so many for other renderers, but it's hard (for me, at least) to find tips on C4D materials, for example. Doesn't everyone stuggle with nice glass settings, or some brushed stainless steel w/ blurry reflections??... this is the kind of stuff I would be interested in seeing. Maybe we can post up some files to share? I'm not trying to get people who have spend years perfecting their technique to spill all their secrets, but I'm just looking for a little more sense of community amongst the C4D users. daly2
I'm a new user of this site and also of C4D, but I agree about the lack of material in the internet about it. On the other hand, I've been noticing in all the CG sites I visit an increase in the questions and requests about more material and exchange of experiences with it. Maybe it´s not poppin yet here at CGarchitect but as far as I'm concerned, I'll surely be passing by here more often.

Maybe we can post up some files to share? Search the site..... a while back Ernest and a couple others were playing with a file and glass shaders. It's was a very educational thread, I thought. Really want exposure to C4D and training for it.... www.pixelcorps.com If your any good in the archviz area, join the ArchViz Team. STRAT
well, this forums isn't like a virtual chat forum like in cgtalk or anything, but if you have any c4d problem you want ironed out, here's usually a good place to ask.
