kankan
I have been using AutoCAD to model and Accurender3 to render for almost seven years now, but having seen the results of Vray renderings I'm thinking of investing time and money in learning Vray. Can I continue to medel in ACAD and import my model into Vray? Is it standalone, or do I need to have Viz to render in Vray? I haven't even looked at the websites yet, I would just like an outline. Thanks in advance. Kamran

gfa2
Briefly…yes you can model in AutoCAD, then file link into 3ds max or VIZ and use Vray as your rendering engine instead of the default scanline renderer. Vray is well worth it. It separates the men from the boys with these renderings.
ecastillor
but you would have to have viz or max anyway....
