Hi everyone,

I posted four images of industrial buildings that I have done. I was wondering if you guys can comment on them and inform me on what I need to work on and how much do you think a developer or architect would pay for something like this. Let me give you some background on the images. I used autocad to model and basic 3d max scanline to render these images. The lighting was done with one skylight and some omnis. I know I need to work on the grass. I can't find a good map for that. The average time for these image from start to finish was about 24 hours and 5 hours to render. Do you think that is too much time to create something like this? Also I work in near the Chicago land area. I would rely appreciate you comments thanks.

I think a few of the images are a little to saturated, and the second image needs a different sky the one you've got is to dark for the scene. Over all these are good images but I wasen't clear on how long it took you to do each image, were you saying you did all 4 in 24 hrs, or it took you 24 hrs to do each one?

Thanks for the feedback on the renderings. I understand why you don’t want to comment on the pricing, but I was thinking about 1000-1500(US) for these rendering. Do you think that is too low or too high? I work for an architect right now and I’m an instructor at an art school teaching CAD and 3 Max to interior designers. I have always wanted to have my own business. I have been only working in this line for about 2 years now and I want to go on my own. I’m just hesitant right now because I don’t know how profitable this arch viz line is. If it is possible to make over 80k per year freelancing or just going around town knocking on doors to get business I would rely go for it. But for now I am trying to get as much info about the Chicago market as possible before I think about leaving or going part time. Any comments on the field would also be helpful. Thank for the remarks on the renderings.
