Hi,

I'm a Sketchup user and i slowly start rendering my works, using VIZ. My problem is that sometimes on VIZ i need to retouch geometries and positions.

I start to have good results concerning the rendering, but my shaping sucks...Most of the time i need to add faces, to make my shapes more round(a back of a sofa f.e.). When this happens ... i wishe sometimes to die...i'm to used about sketchup concept, using inferences points and all this intuitive way of drawing, but in VIZ it's a "jungle", my endpoint don't connect, the snapping works as it wants, the vertexes let them be caught some time not, well in short i need sometime to go back in skektchup to remodel some works... double time and double waste.

Does anyone reached to do this reconversion, and if yes a little bit of chatting will help me to take over this pbs. In the other hand, if someone has good tutorials or advices for shaping volums and surfaces in VIZ... I'm your man

Thanks and i apologize for my english

Well, sketchup is a nice tool, invaluable for a certain group of people who need to deliver quick and decent. On the other hand, viz can get you many steps ahead. So my advice is to do all the viz modelling tutorials supplied and switch completely to viz. You will get a better control over materials, lighting and rendering. You could still use sketchup for a quickie, but when you get to know viz's modelling tools well, you will be able to model in viz as fast as in sketchup. Take my word for that
