skogskalle
ok, not sure if I can explain this in english, but Ill try.... Im working on a project where I need to match my 3dmodel to some photos. The photos are mostly of a field with a forrest in the back, so theres not much to go on if I want to use the Cam-match-utility.So Ive gotta do it manually. It wont be perfect, but according to the architect, it doesnt have to be either. anyway, heres the problem. The photos are taken with a digital camera with a 5.5 mm lens, which is 36mm in the "max world". the first picture turned out great. thats a normal landscape-pic. (1600x1200) The second one is a "portrait-pic" of the same place (from a little greater distance). (1200x1600) - and for some reason it comes out totally wrong. with the 36 mm lens the ´FOV is way too big and the rendered model comes out way too small, compared to the photo. so... what am I doing wrong here? Do I have to change the 36mm lens to something else when I work with portrait style pics, and if so, to what? please, if you have any idea whats wrong, help me. The deadline is closing in..... btw. im using MAX 4.2 thanks in advance!/Kalle
