Adaptec Sata Raid 1210sa Anyone use?

cause i have an installation pb and i can't wait till monday to talk to'em so they can send me a new install cd i could get with much luck next friday... can't work (can't even live...lol) without my dual processor for 7 days!!!!

 

does anyone maybe have that GOOD boot cd and could send me a clone??

 

(shamefuk ADAPTEC they know that problem with european kits since many month - read it on adaptec site - but go on sending a corrupt CD... it's a f****** shame!)

I cant help you with the CD but I do feel your pain. I bought one of those POS cards and had nothing but trouble with it. I ended up getting a 3ware Escalade 8506-4, yea it was more money but its been rock solid and came with better monitoring software than the Adaptec card.

finally got a floppy drive and could install using floppy disk and downloaded drivers (should have got floppy anyway and i had not...lol)

 

and now... what the f***!

 

SPEED UP!!

full reboot less than 30 sec!!

(WD Raptor 36.7Gb 10000rpm x 2 on RAID 0 via PCI Adaptec Raid Sata 1210SA)

wow good speed .....

hope it won't be unstable

after few days workin with it i can say

wghat a pleasure

 

software load and close so fast

everything is so stable

saving large files (autosave each 12 minutes in 3ds ) is really fast so fast

i like it

won't accelerate renderings of course but will gain so much time on so many moves during the ay!

i like it definitly
