convert text to solid???

Anybody knows how to extrude or convert Autocad text to a solid or to something like a region to then extrude???

Hi Jorge,

 

You can try to explode the text within acad, then delete all but the outer lines to later join them to form a closed pline. If youre going to export your scene to max its easier to just create it in max.

carlangas, I dont think you can expolde a text, but you are right it is easier to extrude in Viz.

I think that you cannot just explode text, you get standard non-formatting text instead of the shape you want. You must use "Explode text" from express tools, do some cleaning (sometimes there is generated a lot of messed shapes) and extrude.

Explode them with the express tool then use "region" , after that "union" and "extrude"

Thanks to all, explode text from express tools worked like a charm. I used boundary and then extrude and it worked fine.
