William Alexander
prashanth, More FG samples or sample a larger area to start with. The grainy FG shadows of the cabinet doors tell that story. Mr Bradley...I presume... Is that you 'Bri', LOL, you're older than you look WDA
prashanth
hi guys, Thnks for replying. Am very new to maya and mental ray, I actually dont know many things. Every thing is 'trial and error'... the settings i used for this scene are, Light - 1 Directional light outside the window color-white, Intensity-1, decay rate- linear, raytraced shadows-on photon color-white, photon intensity-30, exponent-2, GI photons-10000 In render globals: Min samples=2, max samples=5, filter=mitchell GI: Accuracy=1000, Radius=0, Photon Volume Accuracy=1000, Photon vol radius=0 FG: Rays=1000, MinRays=0; MaxRays=0 I also tried using point light, with the area light option enabled under the mental ray tab. But nothing worked out.. Can u please help me, i dont knw to use mental ray shaders and lights, i couldnt understand anyting from maya help files..
