karl zacharias
can you post the picture as well...I believe you may have some major tiling issues...ie. the brick, roof, and the grass
Aaron2004
did you apply any UVW mapping anywhere? The brick on your house looks inconsistent in some places. A good way to fix this would be with a cube UVW map, and then scale it along the x,y, and z axis as needed. Those bricks also look pretty large....are they the size that you want? What is your lighting situation? It seems awfully bright, but it could just be your choice of colors. When using Vray, I always use just one Directional light...then maybe some dim omni lights in darker cornerers of the scene.
jasonio
Good start! But you have a long way to go before you can call it finished! The brick textures are too contrasted (and/or too small (not enough bricks)), whichever way the tiling is very obvious. Try adding bump mapping/displacement to the tiles and bricks. And check that the scale of the textures are consistent throughout. (They seem to be getting larger and smaller.) Look on the internet for brick sizes/textures and scale the texture, By counting how many bricks you have in the texture you can work out how high (in units) your texture should be. Scale down the timber texture. (At the moment it looks like a videogame.) Window frames almost NEVER stick out from the face of the building - especially timber ones. Try a bit of booleaning and make some holes for the windows. Add some timber cills which over hang slightly. Keep the eaves of the roof consistently overhanging throughout. Do this and it will be vastly improved! Keep at it. Good luck.
