What machine to buy?

Hi All,

 

Need some advice what is the best system i can get for £1500, Just the base box and not a Mac. I will be using it for Sketchup, photoshop and recently purchased C4D when i get the hang of it . Any help much appreciated.

I'd go for the one of the AMD Dual Core chips (4400 or 4800 version) with 2GB of RAM

 

should be well withinn your budget depending on what else your after

Also, see if you can budget a decent 3D card, with C4D it doesn't matter that much whether it's a FireGL or a Quadro. If you're putting it together yourself you can get a good price on Ebay.

 

And, my standard recommendation: get a good power supply. Especially important with dual cores.
