Brian Cassil
I have to say I think this is an example of the lens flare not working very well. Compositionally it's detracting from the scene rather than adding to it, and I don't think it a very realistic representation of what would happen with a camera. STRAT
i totally agree with Brian. unfortunately this is one example of when not to use a lense flair. besides, your flair seems to be eminating off a wall, which wouldn't happen.
NOOXY
hey thanks guys just playing around with one of my projects anyway i'm posting an updated image without the lens flare of course .. it's suppose to represent an old repainted cottage someone just moved into...what uall think..ligting and cmposition??? STRAT
yeah, scene's comming on nicely. just need to tweek the lighting a tad more and get those materials looking better - those couches look way too smooth and clean. very plastic like. you might want to play with the glass table material too. keep us updated. your recent workload looks very enjoyable to work on, and a lot of it too
Tim Saunders
i love your walls. cool material. the couches are distracting though. they look a bit like new bars of soap. maybe even a material would improve them. as far as the composition, not too bad. how much room do you have to pull that camera back and to the right though? i really would like to seewhat is just around that corner, staircase? if your wanting to go artsy on us though, lets see some volume light coming in the windows. just an idea, and it would work much better than the flare. AJLynn
I don't think lens flare would actually happen in this scenario - you get it when direct sun (or a very bright light) hits your lens. Here it looks like there's a 1000W light bulb next to the window that's making the flare. OTOH, I strongly approve of lens "flair"
NOOXY
here's my updated image on my refurbished cottage,,what uall think ..any improvements...i changed the sofas not rendered for final rendering...no aa
Tim Saunders
getting better for sure. i would work on your ceiling joist material and the coffee table materials a bit. the blur is a little intense on the stuff in the left upper corner. much better composition overall though. keep it coming. skala67
There is a crispness, and then a sudden blurriness to the left of the image. ( I understand it is DOF, but I don't know if it is quite working for you yet.) Also the bottle in the background seems out of scale. This has definitely come a long way, keep it up. Brian Cassil
The table seems to be equally reflective all over. Try using fresnel reflection falloff so that the top of the table is more reflective than the front.
NOOXY
Just updating my lil cottage before doing final renders..made it look a lil livable..how's my progress on this image?? changed my lighting a bit hope it's an improvement.. Tim Saunders
better. a lot of people complain about dark lighting, but i like it when you can get away with it. that being said, with as bright as it is outside, i think you ought to have a bit more light through the interior from that light source alone. i still think some volume light would do the trick. you allready have sort of a misty look in the background image, why not bring it inside too?
