vray extreamly slow

Hi,

 

I’m new to VRAY. I come from finalRender. I’ve got a scene I want to test but it has unreasonable rendering time. I disable antialiasing and GI and still it require hours to render 4-5 minutes scene. is it a CONFLICT?

you'll need to give us more details than that... What kind of a scene are you trying to render, number of polygons, amount of lights so forth and so on...

dont know whether you've sorted the problem yet but...

 

try setting the default irradiance map to medium or low

 

However if your pc has less than 1gb of memory and a 3ghz processor, Vray will take a bit of time.

 

What do you mean by slow?

King I am new to Vray and have found out that it is at least form me also extremely, one interior image took 6 hours to render and not even to the highest settings.

 

Would love to find out some basic setup for interio and exterior, I have used Brazil for exterior shots and find it very easy to use and setup and rendering is very fast. I know that there are a lot of settings that one can set to have a perfect image but can someone tell us a "basic" setup for exterio and interior shots.

i have only used vray on occasions in other offices but this site got me up to speed pretty quick
