Tim Saunders
anyone know any good resources for high quality water fountains for stills? i spent like 3 hours modeling up a sweet cascading mushroom fountain that was origionally requested, but then we got a call from the client saying that's not what they want. i don't have the time to make it on my own again. sure hope someone has my back on this one. Tim Saunders
yeah they're not too bad, but the client wants something more "dramatic". whatever that means. if it gets too close to crunch time, i'll probably end up just throwing one of those in. DennisHolland
A fountain can be done in Photoshop very easely and you can give it all the drama you want...
STRAT
hasn't a google image search helped?
Tim Saunders
i haven't thought that much about doing it in 2d. i'll do some searching as i consider that option too.
jucaro
Here's a fountain from an old project. If this fountain is fine by you, email me and i'll send you the file. Its a VRay displacement though. here's the raw render sample and the geometry without displacement.
Tim Saunders
that's sweet juan. they are looking for more of the jetted type fountains in a pond. i went with dennis's advice and used photoshop. it actually went real quick. i just used the background eraser and dragged it over to the origional render (without a fountain). since it was so quick i was able to do 4 of them and see what they liked. now just fine tuning. thanks everyone. Tim Saunders
i guess this should be in the wips, but i figure if anyone is interested, they are allready waiting for my post. i've never done this before, but water only, what else do you think i can do to improve the fountain?
