chodney
I'm new to Vray, switching from Mental Ray and wondering how to adjust color bleed of a texture mapped material. For instance, I have an interior with full height glass, and target direct light coming down on a wood floor. The wood floor bleeds a ton onto the white gwb walls. I'm using all Vray materials. carlangas
Hi Chris, try right clicking the object/s with the material that you want to adjust. then there's a vray properties dialog, decrase the GI value. that should decrease the bleeding. kippu
or play with saturation in the indirect illumination tab
Geoff
What I tend to do is replace the offending material with a white material, render out the irradiance map only and save it. I then reassign the proper offending material and render using the saved irradiance map.
kris
Use exponential colour mapping. It bleeds all colors you need and dont need.:-)
Christopher Nichols
Use exponential colour mapping. It bleeds all colors you need and dont need.:-) True... but a more "correct" olution would be to use Gamma Corrected with values of 0.4545 (which is 1/2.2) on both light and dark.
