horslaloi
Hi, This is actually my first post on this forum and also my first model of a house. The modelling was done autocad and rendered in 3ds max. This house is for a course that I am presently. And now I going to start texturing it So any comments?? Thanks Mike
TheAllusionisst
Nice modeling! If you change the 'facetres' number to a higher number like 4-8 before exporting, your arched window will be a smooth arch and not be faceted like it is now. You can play with the number something like 2 may do the trick and you will end up with a less dense mesh. Nice job!
edub
nice modeling. There's a weird line running across the roof of the porch. Also, you should break the phong shading on the same roof, so the edge shows up - right now it reads smooth (a result of the phong smoothing). vizwhiz
Mike you can set the facetres variable in autocad to 4-5 or even higher and when filelinking (or are you importing?) you can set the acis deviation to 0.1 or even lower = 0.05 for smooth curves warning the File Size will go up but The end result will look nice and smooth hey make The computer work for a change ** great work especially for your 1st model in autocad Thanks Randy check out mental ray (eventually) much better Than radiosity for rendering
