xgarcia Posted November 18, 2003 Share Posted November 18, 2003 Well there is really only one chioce IMO: Quadro series from Nvidia. You get to use Nvidia Maxtreme drivers in Max5.1 or lower (Maxtreme doesnt work with Max6 yet). Also you can load Nvidia Powerdraft drivers to use with Autocad. Viewport speeds up greatly in 3D and 2D perform goes up as well (not by much though - something like smoother panning is all I notice). There is a great range of Quadro cards (arranged price wise from cheapest to most expensive): 750 XGL or 980 XGL or FX1000. The FX series of Quadros supports DirectX 9.0, the XGL series is older and cheaper but still great for AutoCAD, Max use. I think it'll come down to price for what you choose really.
