taprice
I do a lot of cookie cutter stuff so it's nice to do something a little out of the box, for me. This is a first go round and final materials will be added later. I started the project using MR but because it was talking so long I had to switch back to radiosity. Ernest Burden III
Get as much light as you can bouncing up under that roof. Make the picture more about the secondary light than the direct. By the way--what is it?
taprice
That's actually what some of it is so white, should be grey, but the light wasn't boucing off the pavement very well. I cheated with the reflected light on the pavement to get it brighter. The little building and the ramp are property of a rental car company. Brian Cassil
In the second image it looks like there are some puddles on the floor. Seems a little early in the process to be adding details like that so maybe my eyes are fooling me. Either way, looks like a great start! Keep posting. taprice
The puddles are just pieces of flare and it take two shakes to add a noise mask to a raytrace material. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll post the next phase when its completed.
Ray
Would you mind sharing your noise mask/puddles settings? I think they look great.
joseph alexander
If i were the client, and there's a protective structure above the sidewalk/road, i'd question why the rendering shows it not working IE puddles. It looks nice though.. -joe

taprice
Here are the material settings, and for the CLIENTS sake we'll just pretend the lot just got cleaned up for the new fleet of cars.
