3DImageWorks
try: 1) increasing the amount of light the wall hung lights on the left generate 2) centre the floor map along the corridor 3) get a better map for the timber beams 4) what is the thing near the statue head? a surveilance camera? Jago_0108
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm posting the original rendered image, I think that adjusting the auto levels in photoshop did'nt worke dthat well. There's no light in the wall lamps because it's supposed to be a day image, how can i center the floor tile map?. Its an halogen light, but you're right it seems to be a surveilance camera. What do you mean when you say "timber beams" my english is alright but i guess not good though. Thanks
AJLynn
The timber beams are the wood beams across the top - the texture is not that good and it repeats very obviously. To fix the floor tile, the easiest thing to do is make the map viewable in the viewports then move it around by moving the gizmo of the UVW mapping. Aside from the placement being 2cm off I like the floor, is that displacement I see? The walls too, very nice subtle texturing.
Tim Saunders
what he means by timber beams is the wood peices going across the top. the wood is repeating. if you find a larger sample, you can vary the texture from each beam. it sounds liek your a bit un-familiar with uvw mapping if your not sure how to center the floor tile. i assume you sued some uvw mapping to get the tile the size you want? if so, with the item (floor) selected, click "UVW mapping in the modify panel so it is yellow (or activate the gizmo under uvw mapping), then using the move tool, lock it after hilighting the uvw mapping modify level. then you can move the mapping along any axis. let us know if that doesn't make sense. i like the wall texture the lighing is good, but there is a slight glow on the left wall where the lights are. just loose the small light on the statue. for sure use area shadows to get a softer shadow.
