carlangas
Hi all, This is my fist attempt at an interior using vr. I will post another view whenever i get it finished. please feel free to comment as i still have time to improve it before turning it over to the client, thanks
jophus14
This is a really nice render. Did you use any tutorials for the settings or did you just adjust them until you were satisfied? Just asking because i'm new to Vray and i could use the help
carlangas
Hi Joseph, actually I didint play with the settings all that much. and I should to cut the render times. that render took 1hr. I think thats too long for vray. but if I were you I'd get that Christopher Nichols dvd, I think it has all kinds of valuable info you could use. even though the dvd is focused on exteriors there's a lot of concepts that can be applied to interiors as well. carlangas
here's an actual pic of a similar project....
kippu
thats very good interiors .... maybe put something in the background instead of white and the noise is due to light subdivs, which at default is at 8 and has to be increased or maybe the wood material has glossy reflections

ballus
They are very good renders. My only critque is the low reflection level of the wood materials.
abywater
nice renderings...look better than the photo! Only critique is, I think you went too far on the photo in the window...if you look at the photo...the window is "blown out" and mostly white...the window looks fake with that image you put in...look at similar interior photos and you really can't see out the window very well in a photograph...obviously our eyes do a better job adjusting to the light...so, in reality you might be able to see outside that well...it just doesn't look natural for a photo/rendering. find a happy medium between your first rendering of the stark white window and the flat picture you have now. carlangas
true that, you have a point there but since i didnt want to use courtains or blinds I didnt want to leave a pure white background there. its strange cuz in some photographs you can see the outside crearly. still I wanted to show the background somewhere in the middle between pure white and a clear background. ill increase the brightness and see how it looks. thanks
