paj
Does anyone know how to create photorealistic hedges in models?
notamondayfan
this is how i did 1 once- u need some base mesh for the branches. a simple box, loads of segments. apply noise map, make it quite spikey and random. then make several leaves, berry, etc as a seperate mesh. the use the scatter tool (compound objs) to scatter the leaves and stuff over the base mesh. u need good textures on leaves, and use a some sort of natural criss-cross opacity map 4 the base (as most hedges are partially see tho. u will have loads of polys. but it works.
