bully712
This might be a tough one. I've never heard of anything like this, so I'm wondering if anyone knows any solutions to this problem. The situation: An employee at work is burning PDF images of Cad drawings to a cd to be distributed. One of the senior principals is suggesting that the prints have restrictions as listed below: 1. They want to restrict the print scale to 100%. They don't want them to open up the drawings and print them at a different scale. 2. They don't want them to copy or save the drawings to their hard drives. I honestly do not think this is possible. Does anyone have a clue to what we can do? Ray
Send hard copies! Seriously, if you open the pdfs in Adobe Acrobat (not Reader) then you can set some security restrictions, but I can't tell you off hand if all of your principal's restrictions are possible. bully712
Send hard copies! That's exactly what I said. She's attempting to add securities in Acrobat as we speak. I guess there is only so much you can do electronically. Thanks
Jeff Mottle
As far as I know you can not restrict Zoom in a PDF file but you can restrict the following: - No Printing - No changing the document - No content copying or extraction, disable accessibility - No adding or changing comments and form fields You can set the open zoom level, but I don't think stop if from zooming in. AJLynn
And don't trust the PDF security if it's important. (Trust me.)
