Tim Saunders
looking better. i would still like to see some reflection on the wood tabel tops. and at least some specular shine from the rest of the wood work.
Ricardo Eloy
Pizza.... The textures look a bit low res, imo, especially the ground. I think you could try some radiosity in there, the model deserves it.
Guest nazcaLine
yes, it's a project for a small pizza parlour here in Lima. i'm troubled about the wood's specular highlights, i increased it but didn't work. the only thing i figured out could work would be placing several omnis(specular only) in different places, and rearranging them for every shot. any suggestions, please? and yes, i may try radiosity in there and see what happens...this scene has only standard lights with scanline... Tim Saunders
yeah ive got suggestions on the wood. i suggest 2 options, and if your scene is rendering fast enough, choose the first oprion. standard material, load your bitmap in the difuse slot as usual. under reflection select falloff, give it an initial value of like 10-15. in the falloff params in the bottom slot pick raytrace, just leave it at 100. as far as specular hilights, if you have your glossiness cranked up so it looks real glossy in your material editor, you will only see the effects of those hilights in heavily textured objects, objects with lots of curves. so give it a specular level of about 65, and glossiness of 20 or less. but if you go with the first option (which you should), don't even worry about the specular level and glossiness. the reflection will take care of that for the most part. but i do think your floor needs those specular lecels applied. Guest nazcaLine
thank you tim, i´'ll try the reflection option as soon as i can.and about the flloor, the finish in the design is rough concrete and a matte floor tile (i mean with almost no reflection, sorry for my english), so i think i shouldn't give reflection to it... thank you anyway.
