radiosity regathering problem

hallo,

guys I have this strange problem,

when I render with radiosity solution the interior everythings is ok, but when I enable the Regather option some of the surfaces turn black in the rendering,

anyone knows whats happening?

Hi there, it would be best to post a pic that shows the problem.

It may be some material problem, but I didn't know they show up in Scanline too...

Try assigning standard mat to everything and re-calculate to see if black areas are still there.

[edit] it might be because of overlapping faces too...

I've had the same thing happen to me and I never could hunt down the problem. Are you using Log Exp. COntrol by chance? I usually had the problem when using Log Exp control with "Affect Indirect Only" checked. Does the blackness occur alond rounded edges or both round and sharp?
