Will update when I hear more. Our IT guy looked at the issue and he said there is no known problem with max 8 and 3GB switch. But we will see in two weeks when we upgrade Thanks
abicalho
The problems usually happen with video drivers and other device drivers which expect the 2-4GB memory space to be free. Also, the 3GB switch is not supported by 64 bit machines. Make sure you make a safe entry in your Boot.ini before messing with it.

abicalho
You should *ALWAYS* create a second entry without the 3GB switch as a backup: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="My OS with 3G" /3GB multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="My OS with 2G" In this case you can go back if anything fails. muzzy
We installed max 8 and it works with 3gb switch. Max 8 has bugs with Snap when gizmo is on, network render monitor crashes, and I heard other bugs but those are we found in two days.. It is overall nice but will be better with HOTFIX. Stay with 7.5 until hotfix.
