markf
I had in a system that I retired a Canopus Raptor card. It ran through my DV camera and allowed me to preview images through Adobe Premiere on an NTSC monitor. I now am putting some still slide show stuff and a few animations on to DVD. I don't have a way to preview any of the stuff on NTSC monitor. I am reluctant to drop the $400 for the new Raptor card because my current need for this is limited. I am just making my own demo DVD with a consumer grade authoring app, Sonic MyDVD I have an Nvidia Quadro 750 video card which works well with my core apps (Max, Pshop, Illustrator) and don't want to replace it Anyone have any experience or ideas on a low cost way to get the NTSC preview capability? TIA for any replies.
C.Vestal
Does your camera have a analog out? It should. If so. Just hook up your camera via firewire and change your project settings in Premiere and you will see it. Premiere 6.5 go to: Project, Project settings, General, Playback Settings, Check "playback on DV camcorder" (Make sure your analog out is hooked up to a monitor.) It is a little easier in Premiere Pro I did this on my older Dual P800 system and I got a crash every once in a while. I think this was a windows thing though. Otherwise it was great. hope this helps,
