Ricardo Eloy
This is a small reception area, modeled, lit and textured from scratch in 3 hours. Not really finished (2 more images from the same area still to go), but thought I might post what I got so far. Let me know your thoughts! C&C welcome! DennisHolland
Very nice Rick! If i can make a suggestion, knowing that you are going to tweak the render some more, is to pay attention to the first 4 inches (10 cm) of the plant just above the ground (a bit too bright, brush some darker to have it grounded in the dirt) and the dirt itself some bump or displacement. If that plant is 3D I would like to know where to get the complete library. If not, then that is great compositing here... Dennis
martincg
did not Agfa quit their bussiness these days? btw:good feel image /there is little bit much gray color /squares/ on ceiling, and white color of right side of wall is blending with green of plant/
Da_RoCk
Hi rick... great start. The feel is really good, however id just like to point out the bleeding on your greenery there.
Ricardo Eloy
Thanks, guys! I'm tweaking settings and preparing to take the pic to PS right now (just waiting for the render). ASA I have them, I'll post. The plant seems to be the main concerne herem huh? Well, it's simply a plane with opacity map. The trick is to give it self-illumination, so the scene lights won't affect it. For the shadows, I have a 3D simple plant there (invisible to cameras). And that's exactly what's causing the green bleed. And, to be honest, I just noticed it after you guys pointed, partly coz I was dying to finish it and partly coz I did it on my notebook (mental note: never trust you notebook's display colors). Gonna post the rest of the work later today. Thanks for your comments! Oh, btw: Martin, you scared the heck out of me! I had to check Agfa's website and fortunately they seem to be on business! Brian Cassil
nice start but the scale of some of the texutures looks a little off. I think the floor is a little big and the stone wall is a little small.
Ricardo Eloy
Thanks, Brian! About the scales, the floor was a client's request and these stones are actually a workaround. I was supposed to use a stone cut we call "canjiquinha", which is very tight and small. But, since I had no time to look for a wall made of it and take pictures myself, I had to use this (comes in Max's ArchMat library). But I'm fully aware of those. Btw, here are the finals submited today. The client "loved" them (his words, so...) Let's go for another!

Ricardo Eloy
I see... well, I really hope they're doing well here in Brasil, at least long enough for me to get paid.
