joseph alexander
As I’m starting to do more drafting in my office I've become very aware of all the small variances in line locations.. Distances or locations like 12' 11-125/128".. Moreover, I've realized that a lot of my failed Boolean operations and light leaks have been caused by these slight inaccuracies.. Is there a command/plug-in that takes all orthogonal lines, takes their control points, averages them, and snaps them to a user defined grid... For example 12' 11-125/128" would become 13'... I'm working on a project now, which I've been having big problems modeling because of very slight plan elevations variances. Being able to do this would help me clean up drawings.. Anyone know how to do this in either AutoCAD or Rhino? -Joe
JamesTaylor
i have also noticed this, and it seems to be linked to using snaps in CAD. it appears that some snaps are more suseptable to creating inaccuracies than others. unfortunately i don't know of any answers or solution and have just learnt to be more aware of the problem whilst drafting / modelling
