jtiscareno
I am new to vray (1.47) and I got finally an interior to work, I think it is OK lighting but I have a lot of noise or spots all over the image, any suggestions in how to get rid of them? Also if you guys have comments on improving the interior lighting please feel free to comment, I am liking vray a lot! Thanks in advance

JamesTaylor
could you post some screen shots of render settings etc. the render has come out looking as if you've used photon mapping during the GI solution. also, have you used Distributed Rendering? it might be my eyes but in the image i seem to be able to see the individual squares of the bucket areas?? kippu
he must have used bucket mode render ... anyway i have no idea of these spots in High irrmap unless the hsph and interp samples are low
lambros
Yep, settings for the irradiance map are high, but it really seems that there is some weird bucket work going on. Correct, really looking like photons. If QMC has been used, it would look different.
jtiscareno
Have not used photons, and you guys are right, I have bucket mode. Here are the settings
Sawyer
Look into upping the global subs on the QMC Sampler rollout.
jtiscareno
I tried going to Adaptive sampling with 1,2 but had the same result, I got that the tileling effect is becuase of the bucket mode but the spots...
Sawyer
Jorge, Look toward the bottom of the vray dialoge box, there is an additional option called QMC Sampler. Default is 1 I think for the globals up this to 3 and render a region. It should clean that up.
