M_Jaco
I have a weird problem; at times out of the blue my scence appears in the viewport like if the normales were flipped, but when rendered even without 2 sided materials, its fine. Is there any setting that toggles the way the normals appear in the vieport I am using VIZ 5 See attachments Thanks
DennisHolland
It is not a problem, only irritating The shaded viewport view is pure an indicational function and not based on facts for your normals. It's well known that this is a nasty issue for visualizers because you want to check the uv's on your bricks etc if they are correctly placed without having to test-render, but the shaded views could use an update, definetely.... Also, some plugin-renderers are affecting the shaded views. Brazil for example sometimes leave a bright green glow all of a sudden in the 'smooth+highlights' viewport.... Tim Nelson
You can fix that by going into your viewport properties and checking the box that says 'force 2 sided'.
M_Jaco
Tim, it’s a drop better with force 2 sided on, but still looks like flipped normals. I just realized that in camera view its fine, does anyone have a solution? Or is the solution like Dennis said “the shaded views could use an update, definitely”
M_Jaco
Ok, I fixed it, it was an object that appeared in the select objects dialog but was invisible in the viewport, I deleted the object and its fine now. I’m ready for the next problem
